About Me

I am a registered and accredited NCPS Counsellor with a Professional Diploma in Pyschotherapeutic Counselling Practice and an applied EFT Practitioner.

I am a mother to 3 children and 2 grandchildren. I currently living in Ingatestone, Essex with my husband and our wonderful dog Winston.

In 2009, I started working with young people and their families, signposting them to other services whilst still supporting their emotional well-being through some extremely challenging times. As time went by, I realised the need to redirect my focus by continuing to support people through therapy.

I trained to support clients using a variety of therapeutic approaches which include CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), a Psychodynamic approach, and Person-Centred therapy. I chose to train in these methods because I believe that we are all unique and therefore there is not a one size fits all model of therapy.

I later trained as an EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Practitioner. EFT is more commonly known as tapping therapy. It is a safe and effective tool that can be used to reduce emotional distress for clients by re-balancing the flow of energy within the body.

I truly believe that by having a safe and non judgemental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings you can understand exactly what is going on and by working with a therapist you can move forward into a calmer and brighter future. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

One of the very important first decisions you will make on your journey with therapy, will be the therapist you choose. If you feel that I may be the right therapist for you, then please do get in touch - I would love to hear from you.

Take Care,

Debbie
